Celebrating our 10th anniversary, I really wanted to make a ÒwowÓ design. I had been painting a series of herons and initially thought it would just be a heron and wildlife design. Everything I came up with seemed to be falling flat, and I wanted the pattern to pack more punchÉ. Inspired by dragons in fashion, I started looking up the meaning of Chinese symbols. Good Fortune took on many symbols for prosperity, luck, health and wealth. A dragon holding a pearl, a heron, butterflies, a praying mantis, a red lantern and the money plant are all harbingers of Good Fortune.
