Schuyler Samperton
Los Angeles-based designer Schuyler Samperton is best known for her modern-classic style — an imaginative blend of low-key and elegant pieces with a youthful, West coast flair. Vogue Living showcased her as one of "Today’s Tastemakers" in its 2006 inaugural issue. Schuyler’s work has also been featured in Vogue, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, W, InStyle, and the Los Angeles Times. In 2003, House Beautiful listed her among "America’s Top Young Designers."
The daughter of an award-winning architect, Schuyler launched her interior design career through a four-year stint with legendary celebrity decorator Michael S. Smith. While managing many of his high-end residential projects across the country, she also styled and produced photo shoots of his work for leading interior magazines.
Her background includes six years as a publicist for the Fox Broadcasting Company, where Schuyler lent her creative touch to promotions for hit shows like The Simpsons, Melrose Place and the Emmy Awards. Originally from Washington D.C., she studied art history and decorative arts at Trinity College, New York University and Parsons School of Design.
